Software Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
• Backend development experience with Rust, Python, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control.
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Understanding of software engineering principles including APIs, data structures, MVVM/UDF, and OpenAPI.
• Experience working on proof-of-concept or rapidly evolving products.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within secure development environments.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure software applications.
• Build Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Rust, Python, or Go.
• Manage source code using Git and collaborate through code reviews.
• Containerise applications using Docker.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated software delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and technical specialists to solve complex problems.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and software engineering best practices.
