Software Business Analyst

Salary: £32,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions Analyst.
• We understand software delivery in Agile or hybrid environments.
• We have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• We are comfortable advising non-technical SMEs and simplifying complexity.
• We are pragmatic, organised, and confident challenging assumptions constructively.
• We have familiarity with Office 365 user administration.
• We have familiarity with Azure Entra or Active Directory.
• We have basic SQL Server knowledge, including queries and data management.
• We understand APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• We have SME or scale-up experience.
• We have knowledge of information security and data protection.
• We have experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
• We understand AI capabilities and how they translate into business features.

Responsibilities:

• We gather, document, and validate business requirements.
• We translate needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• We facilitate workshops with internal SMEs and manage expectations across teams.
• We identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• We support backlog creation, prioritisation, and UAT.
• We advise on system architecture, integrations, and data flows.
• We work with external development teams to ensure delivery aligns with requirements.
• We produce clear documentation, including process flows, diagrams, and decision logs.
