ServiceNow Developer (CMDB, HAM & SAM)

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need at least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and implementation experience, with strong expertise in Asset Management.
• We need strong technical skills in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM), ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro), CMDB, Discovery, Asset Lifecycle Management, Software License Management, Software Models, Entitlements, Reconciliation, Content Library, JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST & SOAP APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.
• We value highly desirable experience with CMDB Health, CSDM, procurement integrations, SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Tanium, Flexera, Snow Software, Oracle licence management, Microsoft licensing, Adobe licensing, IBM licensing, SaaS licence optimisation, ITSM, and ITOM Visibility.
• We need strong knowledge of ServiceNow HAM and SAM best practices.
• We need experience implementing end-to-end hardware and software asset lifecycle processes.
• We need a strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
• We need experience implementing Discovery and maintaining accurate CMDB data.
• We need excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• We need experience delivering enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
• We need strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• We need the ability to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• We need you to be comfortable working in Agile delivery teams.
• We welcome certifications such as ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM, and ITIL Foundation.

Responsibilities:

• We work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow Asset Management solutions.
• We design, configure and implement ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) solutions.
• We configure and maintain CMDB relationships to support accurate asset and configuration management.
• We implement and optimise Discovery to improve asset visibility and reconciliation.
• We configure asset lifecycle processes including procurement, receiving, deployment, transfers, maintenance, retirement and disposal.
• We configure software models, software entitlements and licence reconciliation processes.
• We implement software licence optimisation and compliance reporting.
• We design workflows to automate asset requests, approvals and fulfilment.
• We configure integrations with procurement systems, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Tanium and other asset discovery tools.
• We support software publisher management including Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMware and other major vendors.
• We develop dashboards and reports to provide visibility into asset health, utilisation, compliance and financial performance.
• We produce technical documentation and solution designs.
• We support platform upgrades and enhancement activities.
• We participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• We work closely with architects, developers and customer stakeholders throughout project delivery.
