Senior Software Engineer - National Security

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• British national only, with an active SC clearance and eligibility for higher level clearance
• Based in or willing to relocate to Gloucester
• 5 years professional experience in cloud data engineering, with an AWS focus
• Hands-on experience with Python or Java
• Experience with Hadoop or other distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures
• Experience mentoring technical teams

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver scalable data processing solutions for customers in highly sensitive, demanding environments
• Architect cloud-native systems
• Lead data pipeline development
• Work directly with technical stakeholders to solve complex, real-world problems
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Operate effectively in fast-moving, security-conscious environments
