Senior Security Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong experience within Security Operations or SOC environments
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks XSIAM or similar security platforms
• Strong knowledge of threat detection, monitoring, and incident response
• Experience with security tooling integration and automation
• Ability to analyse security incidents and identify threats
• Experience working in complex or regulated environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Active SC clearance required

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage our Palo Alto Networks XSIAM security platform
• Configure security policies, rules, and monitoring capabilities
• Improve threat detection, response, and security automation
• Investigate security alerts and support incident response activities
• Integrate security tools and enhance operational workflows
• Provide technical guidance to security and IT teams
• Produce security reporting and support continuous improvement

We are a prestigious public sector organisation hiring two Senior Security Engineers for a 12-month contract based in London on a hybrid basis, with two days onsite and some flexibility longer term. This is an excellent opportunity to support a major cyber security initiative, improving automation, security analytics, and compliance with evolving Government security standards, including the Cyber Assessment Framework and Minimum Cyber Security Standard. The role is inside IR35 and requires active SC clearance. Interviews will be held in a single stage on Teams.
