Job Description

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Extensive product management experience
  • Proven track record delivering digital products from concept through to implementation
  • Experience in one or more of the following: law enforcement, national identity, border security & immigration, digital identity credentials, identity verification platforms, digital wallets, identity management solutions
  • Strong understanding of digital identity technologies and transformation programmes
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • Experience with biometric technologies such as facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, iris recognition, and biographic identity solutions is desirable
  • Understanding of liveness detection, identity verification, presentation attack detection (PAD), and biometric bias & performance testing is desirable
  • Knowledge of biometric standards including ISO/IEC 19794, ISO/IEC 29794, and NIST / ANSI standards is desirable
  • Experience within government, public safety, defence, border security, or transport is desirable
  • Familiarity with GDS Service Standards, Technology Code of Practice, and AI & Machine Learning applications is desirable
Responsibilities:
  • Own the definition, delivery and management of digital identity and biometric products and services
  • Develop product vision, strategy and roadmaps for public sector clients
  • Lead product initiatives from discovery through to implementation and continuous improvement
  • Apply agile delivery principles across multidisciplinary teams
  • Design and deliver innovative identity and biometric solutions
  • Work with leading biometric vendors, partners and technology suppliers
  • Support clients in defining their identity strategy and transformation roadmap
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct feasibility studies, trials and discovery activities
  • Collaborate closely with senior client stakeholders to understand requirements and shape future services
  • Provide market insights, industry best practice and technology recommendations
  • Help clients navigate complex digital transformation and identity challenges
  • Represent the organisation within the wider digital identity and biometrics community
  • Support innovation initiatives and contribute to thought leadership
  • Speak at industry events and conferences
  • Support business development and new client opportunities
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Support the growth of digital identity capability across the organisation

We are looking for an experienced Digital Identity & Biometrics Product Manager to help design and deliver innovative identity solutions for some of the UKs most important public services. Working alongside industry-leading specialists, engineers and architects, you will help solve complex challenges across identity management, biometrics, security and citizen services. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital identity in the UK while working with emerging technologies, government stakeholders and world-class multidisciplinary teams. You will work on nationally significant programmes that impact millions of people, helping government organisations modernise how they verify, protect and serve citizens. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in London or Manchester, up to 4 weeks working abroad per year, access to leading learning platforms and professional development programmes, support for continuous learning, certifications and career progression, exposure to cutting-edge AI, digital transformation and innovation projects, and the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams on high-impact programmes. Salary banding is £80,000 to £120,000 gross DOE plus a £6,700 cash allowance and annual bonus. Full right to work in the UK is required and the role is not suitable for visa holders.
