Senior Java Developer

Requirements:

• Extensive experience developing software applications using Java/J2EE frameworks
• Strong experience with Enterprise/Core Java, JMS, Spring Framework, JDBC, and Java ORM technologies
• Experience with Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL
• Experience using version control, project tracking, and CI/CD tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Ansible
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing microservices and web-based applications
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and SDM model for CI/CD processes and associated tools
• Experience supporting Level 3 production issue resolution
• Experience working with business product owners and end users to define requirements and triage issues
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Experience working in an Agile environment and within a distributed team
• Experience writing technical designs
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Innovative mindset with the ability to suggest new ideas, ways of working, and technologies

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and support critical microservices and portlets using Enterprise/Core Java, JMS, Spring Framework, JDBC, and Java ORM technologies
• Liaise with technical and business colleagues locally and across international locations including Singapore, India, New York, and Chicago
• Work as part of a wider development team spread between London, Singapore, and India
• Support the team by familiarising yourself with the relevant functional aspects of the development role
• Resolve Level 3 production support issues
• Interact with business product owners and end users to define new software requirements and triage issues
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions
