Senior IT & AV Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in a senior IT and AV engineering role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
• Strong technical skills, including experience designing, implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure and network systems
• Strong AV experience
• Experience working in an educational environment would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior point of contact for IT and AV support for staff, students, Fellows and College guests, providing technical advice, troubleshooting and resolution across a broad range of systems and services
• Guide and coordinate other support team members, act as an escalation point for complex incidents, and help maintain consistent service delivery standards
• Administer, maintain, develop and support the Colleges IT infrastructure and services
• Support wired and wireless network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, VLANs, network configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Support network services, including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and associated infrastructure services
• Investigate and resolve complex connectivity and Wi-Fi issues, and support network performance, resilience and security

The role is based in Cambridge, with working hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm and a salary of £35,000–£40,000.
