Senior Data Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £32,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong SQL skills with the proven ability to query large-scale datasets effectively.
- Demonstrated practical experience in data and analytics, with a track record of generating actionable insights and solving real-world problems.
- Robust experience building and working with databases and dashboards to inform commercial decisions.
- Experience with cloud databases, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Looker, and/or Google Analytics is highly beneficial.
- Experience motivating, engaging, and managing technical team members, including workload management and task delegation.
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the wider business.
- Build, develop, and maintain complex data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Champion actionable insights and guide the team to deliver efficient, high-quality analytics that uncover optimisation opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to support strategic decision-making.
- Directly manage, motivate, and engage a small team of two data analysts.
- Provide hands-on technical support, including code and query reviews, to support team development.
- Establish high standards of data governance, analytical accuracy, and delivery against deadlines.
- Oversee the teams data request process, including tracking requests, assessing scope, prioritising work, and delegating tasks.
- Ensure timely delivery of highly accurate data for reporting, analysis, and modelling across the business.
- Maintain compliance with company data protection and privacy policies when handling person-identifiable data.
- Manage and optimise our BI tools and systems, and evaluate new opportunities to leverage technology for business impact.
- Promote the use of data across the organisation and help stakeholders make smarter, data-driven decisions.
- Support the Data Science Manager with the execution and ongoing development of our data science and analytics roadmap.
