Senior Business Analyst (Broking Solution)

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 5 years of Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry, with London Market broking experience strongly desirable.
• We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record in requirements elicitation, management, and documentation, including use-case development.
• We require experience delivering in Agile and/or Waterfall environments, with a solid understanding of Product Life Cycle principles.
• We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor content for business and technical audiences.
• We require the ability to work in cross-functional, team-oriented environments and to drive clarity in complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
• We consider technical fluency advantageous, particularly with JSON or another coding/query language, to support API and integration conversations.
• We require a self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
• We value experience providing peer reviews, feedback, and mentoring to analysts; line management experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We build a deep understanding of broking solution functionality and develop specialist knowledge in designated product areas.
• We analyse complex processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective product approach to meet organisational needs.
• We provide detailed rationale and user-case knowledge during design and requirements sessions, and we lead internal and client workshops to elicit and validate requirements.
• We work with colleagues to convert business requirements into clear, testable functional requirements.
• We support and review work from junior analysts within the project team to ensure quality and completeness of requirements.
• We provide and deliver analysis estimates to the Product Owner and track progress.
• We liaise with the Product Owner on risks, escalations, and problem resolution within the team.
• We collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• We produce user stories, use cases, and requirements documentation that demonstrate a clear understanding of business and functional needs.
• We work closely with development and product teams to ensure requirements are implemented as intended.
• We respond promptly to questions and remove ambiguity throughout the development phase.
• We participate in project planning and management activities, contributing to scope, milestones, and risk management.
• We deliver targeted training for clients and colleagues on complex areas of the platform and process.
• We mentor junior BAs by providing day-to-day guidance, constructive feedback, and sharing best practice across the BA community.
