Senior Backend Engineer

Salary: £100,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in a relevant field
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong skills in Go, C/C++, Rust, or Java
• 3+ years of experience building or running large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks
• Solid understanding of cloud, container orchestration, and distributed data systems
• Proven technical design and project delivery experience
• Eligible to work full-time in the UK

Responsibilities:

• Scale and improve distributed systems for advanced link modelling, making them faster and more reliable across varied environments
• Shift computational pipelines from CPU to GPU architecture to increase speed and efficiency
• Refine algorithms using signal processing and linear algebra to improve capability and commercial value
• Guide technical design and architecture, delivering projects end to end
• Maintain code quality, diagnose performance issues, and strengthen testing practices
