Senior Application Engineer

Salary: £39,000 - 39,000 per year

Requirements:

• We seek substantial experience developing solutions, data pipelines, and systems integrations across legacy and contemporary technologies using the Microsoft stack.
• We seek a proven track record of working with finance professionals, systems, processes, and data.
• We seek experience liaising with stakeholders at the highest level in international corporate businesses.
• We need a candidate willing and able to develop and implement solutions, troubleshoot existing deployments, manage technical debt, and provide technical leadership in future systems design, architecture, and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• We will have the successful candidate take technical responsibility for the operation and modernisation of our finance and HR systems.
• We will have the successful candidate work in our Data Team alongside our in-house Development Team and third-party technology suppliers across the globe.
• We will have the successful candidate support and manage our Finance and ICT stakeholders, including senior internal leaders.
• We will have the successful candidate act as the technical liaison with existing third-party vendors.
• We will have the successful candidate take ownership of our application environment, including systems such as Dimensions v2, FocalPoint, Orbis Task Centre, Access Document Management, People XD, and Access aCloud.
• We will have the successful candidate collaborate with our Infrastructure and Data teams to manage the servers and databases those systems rely upon.
• We will have the successful candidate work with our in-house teams to upgrade, streamline, and troubleshoot integrated applications and data flows.
• We will have the successful candidate help identify solutions, define requirements, and select vendors as we modernise our core systems.

We are Peninsula Business Services, and this is a full-time office-based senior application engineer role at our headquarters in Manchester. We support a global business with operations in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Our PBSG Finance division uses a suite of applications from The Access Group, integrated with proprietary applications and data integrations built in-house. We are undertaking a long-term, multi-year transformation of our finance and HR systems, moving from on-premises, self-hosted solutions to fully cloud-based SaaS equivalents across our global operations within the next two years. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership for a major modernisation programme within a large international consultancy business with recurring annual revenues approaching 500M.
