Senior AI Security Architect Consultant

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need 20+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3+ years in AI/ML security or data security.
• We need proven experience designing secure architectures for AI/ML systems.
• We need strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• We need experience with cloud platforms and AI services across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• We need experience in identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• We need experience in threat modelling and risk assessment methodologies.
• We need a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI/ML, or a related field.
• We prefer certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or a certified AI security credential.
• We prefer experience with MLOps platforms such as MLflow and Kubeflow.
• We prefer experience in AI red teaming and adversarial testing.
• We prefer knowledge of secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• We prefer familiarity with Responsible AI principles and ethical AI frameworks.
• We need strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

• We define and lead the AI security architecture roadmap aligned to our enterprise security strategy.
• We develop secure-by-design frameworks for AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, training, inference, and deployment.
• We establish AI trust, risk, and compliance controls such as explainability, fairness, and robustness.
• We conduct threat modelling for AI systems and identify vulnerabilities including adversarial attacks, model inversion and extraction, and data leakage risks.
• We define and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
• We perform AI security risk assessments and integrate findings into our governance processes.
• We integrate security into ML pipelines, including CI/CD and MLOps frameworks.
• We define controls for secure dataset handling and lineage, model versioning and integrity validation, access control, and secrets management.
• We embed automated security testing into model development pipelines.
• We ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA where applicable.
• We implement privacy-preserving techniques such as differential privacy, federated learning, data anonymization, and synthetic data.
• We define policies for sensitive data usage in AI models.
• We design safeguards for large language models and generative AI, including prompt injection, hallucinations, and data exfiltration.
• We design API and model endpoint security.
• We implement guardrails and monitoring solutions for generative AI usage.
• We establish AI security standards, policies, and guidelines aligned to frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 27001 and 23894.
• We support regulatory compliance and audits related to AI security.
• We partner with data scientists, ML engineers, DevOps, and security teams to embed security practices.
• We act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders on AI-related risks.
• We provide security design reviews for AI initiatives.
• We define monitoring for model drift, anomalies, and misuse detection.
• We develop playbooks for AI-related security incidents, including model compromise or data breaches.
• We lead investigations involving AI system risks.
