Release Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong technical expertise and experience across several areas relevant to test engineering
• Active Security Clearance is ideally required
• Strong command of common testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, regression, and exploratory testing
• Proven experience with automated testing tools and frameworks relevant to modern operating systems such as Android or iOS
• Experience working within a CI/CD environment and integrating automated quality gates into the build process
• A shift-left mindset, with experience in design reviews and requirement analysis to catch issues early
• Familiarity with security-focused testing practices or vulnerability assessment
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for new clean-slate products and existing core components
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements capture to deployment
• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve delivery velocity and system correctness
• Perform manual and automated testing, including unit, integration, and system-level tests
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the engineering team to drive rapid resolution and prevent regressions
• Help evolve engineering processes by integrating quality assurance checkpoints into continuous integration pipelines
• Champion high standards for technical documentation and architectural clarity
• Bridge complex operational needs and precise engineering specifications to support continuous improvement and client handovers
