Product Owner

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in an Agile software or digital product environment
• Good understanding of requirements gathering, prioritisation, backlogs and tools such as Jira
• Comfortable working directly with software engineers and communicating with a range of stakeholders
• Confidence to ask questions, challenge constructively and make decisions when priorities compete
• Curiosity, adaptability and readiness to take more ownership
• Experience with customer discovery, journey mapping, design thinking or product growth is useful but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Take problems from initial discovery through to delivery
• Work directly with customers, users, designers and software engineers
• Understand customer needs, identify sources of friction and define user journeys
• Gather requirements directly from customers
• Shape solutions with design and engineering
• Prioritise the backlog and make decisions when stakeholders compete for development capacity
• Build understanding of our products, customers and wider business to make decisions with increasing autonomy and influence future product direction
• Contribute to solving problems across role boundaries
