Part-Time Infrastructure & Cyber Security Consultant

Requirements:

• Previous experience leading a data centre to AWS migration
• Capable of leading teams and providing mentorship
• Experience working in an advisory capacity
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools
• SentinelOne experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Microsoft Security experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Sonar experience is advantageous, but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration from data centres to AWS
• Combine infrastructure and security leadership with AWS migration project leadership as we transition our co-located infrastructure stack, including virtualised and physical equipment
• Support a small team of engineers by acting as an escalation point and guide throughout the project
• Work closely with our CISO, share observations, perform security reviews, and help shape our overall strategy
• Assist our Infrastructure and Security Engineers where needed
• Build relationships across the business to support our strategic vision

We are seeking a part-time Infrastructure and Cyber Security Consultant for an initial 3-month contract, with the potential to extend or convert to permanent. This is a crucial hire supporting our migration from traditional data centres to AWS. The role is mainly remote with very occasional face-to-face catch-ups, and it will suit someone who can work 2 to 3 days per week. We offer the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact AWS migration project while collaborating closely with our CISO and engineering team.
