Network Systems Engineer Pre-Sales DV Cleared

Salary: £64,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require an active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• We require fluency in English, written and spoken.

• A technical degree is required.
• We require networking design and implementation experience.
• Practical experience with routing and switching, including relevant protocols, is required.
• Recent experience in Data Center, Routing, and/or Campus network architecture design is required.
• Excellent presentation skills are required.
• Deep knowledge of relevant switching and routing protocols and technologies such as Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, and Network Segmentation is required.
• Knowledge of Service Provider-related technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Campus-related technologies is a plus.
• Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape is required.
• Work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.
• Practical security deployment experience is a plus.
• Recent hands-on CLI experience is highly desired.
• Experience and/or interest in learning NetOps/DevOps tools such as Python and Ansible is required.
• CCIE, JNCIE, or an industry-equivalent certification is required.

Responsibilities:

• We act as trusted advisors to customers and prospects to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and design creative solutions.
• We proactively partner with Account Managers to understand and solve customer challenges.
• We conduct whiteboard network architectural sessions and Arista product presentations.
• We architect, design, and propose Data Center, Routing, and Campus network and security solutions to help generate new or additional sales.
• We perform hands-on customer proof-of-concepts and initial network deployments using state-of-the-art products and features.
• We create design guidelines and recommend improvements for the networks our customers support.
• We lead technical responses to RFPs and RFQs.
• We lead customer feature requests from requirements through implementation to deployment.
• We provide customer feedback to Product Management and Development.
• We represent Arista at industry events and conferences.
• We keep up to date on competitive solutions, products, and services.
• We author white papers, blogs, and articles on technology and products.
