Lead/Senior Software Engineer Full Stack

Salary: £43,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in full stack software engineering is essential; a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is advantageous but not required.
• Strong experience in full stack development using React, Next.js (App Router), Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise in frontend architecture, including SSR, ISR, caching, and performance optimisation.
• Strong backend development experience building REST APIs and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services.
• Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases, schemas, and performance tuning.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and deployment tooling (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub).
• Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorisation models (e.g. Auth0, RBAC).
• Strong experience with modern UI frameworks, including Tailwind, component libraries, and design systems.
• Experience integrating third-party services and enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of security best practices, secrets management, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
• Experience with event-driven systems and message queues.
• Exposure to data engineering pipelines or analytics platforms.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks or LLM integrations.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g. NHS, DSPT compliance).
