Lead UI/UX Designer - Unannounced Project

Salary: £60,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experienced UX Lead, Manager, or Director with shipped titles
• Experience in mobile development, particularly live operations, rapid iteration, and agile development
• Experience with live-service design methodologies and building games for large player communities
• Deep familiarity with developing and shipping live-service titles on time and to a high standard
• Mastery of design systems, workflows, and processes
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX vision for Hacienda and future studio projects, including creating and reviewing wireframes, prototypes, and design briefs, and presenting the vision to teams and stakeholders
• Oversee the design process from concept through implementation, maintaining quality from early wireframes to technical implementation in Unreal Engine
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create cohesive, user-friendly designs
• Use data and frequent testing to evaluate UX flows and identify improvements during development and live operations
• Develop and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new design techniques and tools
• Work with the Art Director to ensure the UI is appealing, accessible, and aligned with the games art style; support marketing and rendering presentations
• Collaborate with the Design Director to align UX with design pillars and guide feature and system development using UX/UI expertise
• Promote design cohesion and best practices through documentation, presentations, feature reviews, and mentoring
• Ensure systems are efficient, futureproof, and based on reusable components rather than bespoke assets and screens
• Review UX systems, features, and UI art, and provide guidance to designers and other leaders
• Lead and manage internal and external UI/UX designers, providing guidance and mentorship
• Support team members career development through regular one-to-ones and development plans
• Share methods and experience while building on team members strengths to develop a versatile design team
