Job Description

Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require demonstrable expert knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, including SAP Finance, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur, SAP Professional Services, SAP Treasury Platform and SAP Financial Compliance Management.
  • We require understanding of SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP CIS.
  • We require good knowledge of Finance and Professional Services Engagement Management processes, including Record to Report, Order to Cash, Acquire to Retire, Plan to Perform and Engage to Staff.
  • We require the ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • We require competence across Application, Integration, Data, Technology and Security architecture.
  • We require a good understanding of SaaS and Azure Cloud hosting and integration technologies.
  • We require stakeholder management skills to ensure end-to-end solutions meet requirements and best practice standards.
  • We require a broad understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • We require expert knowledge in at least one technology domain, such as Application Architecture, Automation, AI, Data, Integration, Infrastructure / Cloud, Security or DevSecOps.
  • We require good knowledge of at least 2-3 other domains.
  • We require good knowledge of architectural governance, including approval steps, conceptual and solution architecture reviews, security assessments, pen tests, code reviews and service acceptance criteria.
  • We require demonstrable previous experience as a Solution Architect.
  • We require demonstrable experience of Azure Integration Services and other Azure services.
  • We require the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and compelling way.
  • We require a high level of technical knowledge, including current, emerging and future technology market trends and their impact on business.
  • We require a good understanding of technical debt, including its causes, measurement and remedial actions such as decommissioning.
  • We require good oral and written communication skills.
  • We require good interpersonal skills.
  • We require the ability to leverage internal networks to tap into additional expertise when needed.
  • We require comfort working with ambiguity at the beginning of projects, with the ability to provide clarity of direction.
  • Desirable: enterprise applications knowledge of Profinda, Replicon, ServiceNow, M365 Dynamics and similar.
  • Desirable: good knowledge of Business Architecture, including business and technology strategies, operating models, process models, capability models and taxonomies.
  • Desirable: understanding of common business analysis techniques and approaches.
  • Desirable: qualification in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
  • Desirable: experience with architecture tooling such as Alfabet, ARIS and Horizzon.
  • Desirable: knowledge and experience of modelling languages such as UML, ArchiMate and BPMN.
Responsibilities:
  • We act as the lead solution architect on Finance-related projects.
  • We create and develop the required Conceptual and Solution Architecture Design documents.
  • We contribute to governance processes, including helping projects navigate the Technology Assurance Group.
  • We work closely with the Strategy & Architecture team, development teams, other architects and third-party suppliers.
  • We create and maintain a detailed view of the existing architecture to support transition to future-state architecture.
  • We identify business and project risks and mitigate or communicate them as necessary.
  • We ensure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties formally and informally.
  • We carry out additional duties as instructed and agreed by leadership.
  • We assist the Chief Architect, CTO and Domain Architects with key enterprise application and platform reviews.
  • We contribute to other strategic initiatives that affect functional areas.
  • We develop relationships within the business and technology functions.
