Lead Security Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience across security engineering areas such as Entra ID, AWS or GCP, SIEM, vulnerability management, Zero Trust, or security automation would be particularly relevant.
• Suitable for a strong Security Engineer ready to take broader technical ownership or an existing Lead who wants to remain hands-on.
• No visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of meaningful security engineering projects from end to end.
• Work across identity and access, Zero Trust, cloud security, vulnerability management, SIEM and detection, and application security.
• Improve SSO and access management, strengthen joiner/mover/leaver processes, reduce reliance on traditional VPN access, and improve visibility across the application estate.
• Build and improve security controls, automate manual processes, and work closely with IT, Engineering, and senior stakeholders.

This broad, hands-on generalist role is based in a Microsoft environment and offers the opportunity to take broader technical ownership. The position is hybrid, with 2–3 days in central London. Compensation is up to £80,000 base salary, plus bonus and benefits.
