Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer - Sneinton

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require proven lead experience in Azure cloud engineering, with hands-on platform leadership across enterprise-scale PaaS.
• We require excellent knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code, including Azure landing zones and Terraform-based IaC frameworks.
• We require experience delivering in a regulated environment, ideally financial services or a similar FSA-regulated setting.
• We require strong DevOps experience, including building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines.
• We require experience with Azure platform services, cloud networking, security controls, monitoring, resilience, and operational supportability.
• We require the ability to work at a senior level with multiple stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
• We require experience mentoring and coaching engineers when needed.
• We require a background that started in infrastructure before progressing into cloud and Azure.
• We require candidates to be able to add value and deliver immediately in a standalone critical role.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the design, build, automation, and continuous improvement of our Azure cloud platform services.
• We provide hands-on engineering delivery alongside architectural design input and technical direction.
• We develop and maintain Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
• We support Azure releases and contribute to both greenfield and BAU projects.
• We work on cloud networking, connectivity, integration, security governance, and regulatory controls.
• We ensure operational resilience, monitoring, and cost optimisation across the platform.
• We mentor and support engineers, promote standards, and help build our engineering culture.
• We collaborate with stakeholders and contribute at architecture level where needed.

We are a financial services client seeking a standalone Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to own enterprise Azure platform leadership in a regulated environment. This is a fully home-based role open to candidates anywhere in the UK. We offer a salary of £90,000 to £100,000, plus bonus and benefits, and we are looking to interview soon for a candidate who can bring strong Azure, Terraform, and DevOps expertise and make an immediate impact.
