IT Technician

Salary: £32,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar 1st/2nd line IT support or helpdesk role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting for PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
• A logical approach to problem-solving and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for all internal IT queries via the ticketing system, phone, and face-to-face.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords within Active Directory and Office 365.
• Set up, configure, and deploy new IT equipment for onboarding employees, including laptops, desktops, and mobiles.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and software licenses.
• Escalate complex 3rd line issues to the Senior IT Manager or external vendors when necessary.
