IT Technical Support Engineer

Requirements:

• 1-2 years experience in an IT support or technical support role
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, and TCP/IP
• Basic Active Directory experience
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-focused approach
• SC Clearance
• ITIL Foundation certification is desirable
• CompTIA A+ certification is desirable
• Microsoft Fundamentals certification is desirable
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms is desirable
• Mobile device support experience is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for end-user computing devices, workplace technologies, and associated IT services
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Assist users with day-to-day troubleshooting
• Maintain IT equipment
• Carry out device build and roll out activities
• Provide onsite datacenter assistance as hands and eyes support
• Ensure excellent customer service while adhering to service level agreements

We are hiring an IT Support Engineer for an SC cleared, onsite role based in Edinburgh, with local candidates preferred.
