IT Manager

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of 5 years experience in an IT management or senior IT leadership role.
• We require experience leading and owning ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• We require experience managing a busy IT Service Desk and high ticket volumes.
• We require proven people management and team leadership experience.
• We require strong experience managing IT suppliers, contracts, and budgets.
• We require successful delivery of IT projects from both technical and operational perspectives.
• We require experience managing complex technical incidents across multiple stakeholders.
• We require excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We require technical expertise with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Windows technologies.
• We require experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• We require knowledge of networking technologies including Unifi, Fortigate, or similar.
• We require knowledge of cyber security frameworks and best practice.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and develop a busy IT Support team.
• We ensure high-quality service delivery and efficient resolution of technical issues.
• We manage escalated, complex, and high-priority incidents through to resolution.
• We analyse service desk trends and implement long-term improvements.
• We drive service standards, performance metrics, and operational excellence.
• We own and manage the organisations Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• We lead and maintain ISO 27001 compliance and audit readiness.
• We oversee Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
• We manage information security policies, security awareness programmes, risk registers, and audit actions.
• We support incident response and business continuity planning.
• We act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Convey365.
• We manage, mentor, and develop IT Support team members.
• We conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and development planning.
• We oversee team workload, wellbeing, resourcing, holidays, and absence management.
• We foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
• We manage IT suppliers, contracts, renewals, and costs.
• We oversee IT asset lifecycle management.
• We identify opportunities to improve systems, services, and processes.
• We act as the central point of coordination between IT, software development teams, third-party suppliers, and business stakeholders.
• We ensure business requirements are translated into effective technical priorities.
• We maintain visibility and ownership of live system issues and resolutions.
• We lead technology projects from planning through to successful delivery.
• We manage project risks, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• We ensure documentation, user guidance, policies, and training materials remain current following system changes.
