Job Description

Salary: £33,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need extensive experience supporting a live ION trading environment with live market connectivity for Rates, Credit, or Swaps desks, including access to venues such as MTS, Brokertec, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, iSwap, Tradition, and EUREX.
  • We need strong experience providing technical support for Fixed Income desks within an investment bank.
  • We need strong experience working with both project teams and users.
  • We need a solid understanding of financial markets and products, particularly Fixed Income and Rates.
  • We need strong troubleshooting experience within the ION environment.
  • We need familiarity with Bloomberg TOMS for trade and position management.
  • We need an understanding and prior experience of the full end-to-end cycle for quoting, trading, electronic trade confirmations, settlement, and P&L valuations.
  • We need technical knowledge of ION components including Platform, MMI, MDATA, Pricing (PXE), Connectivity, Ticketing, Position, and Risk, Trading Tools, RFP Gateways/STP Server, and VMO/VMQ.
  • We need strong knowledge of Fixed Income financial products, bond pricing, hedging, market connectivity and STP, Refdata, MarkitWire, and SWM/FPML_Converter.
  • We need strong knowledge of working on Linux platforms.
  • We need intermediate knowledge of Sybase and TCL scripting.
  • We need basic knowledge of Transact SQL, Excel, and VBA.
  • We need experience using Bloomberg TOMS and Tradeweb Viewer for trade entry.
  • We need experience using JIRA.
  • We need testing experience.
Responsibilities:
  • We work with key stakeholders globally to provide trading solutions.
  • We coordinate, plan, and execute changes across proprietary systems, vendor platforms, and third-party components supporting the Fixed Income desk.
  • We focus on identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimise system performance and improve user experience.
  • We provide deskside L3 ION/e-trading support, and remote support where appropriate, across Fixed Income including trading and sales desks, back office, and the ION platform.
  • We provide L3 support for the production Fixed Income trade flow from execution on market to downstream systems, including BBG TOMS and back-office systems.
  • We liaise with other teams to support add-on functionality and upstream/downstream process flows for the Fixed Income Trading Desk, such as trade flows and end-of-day position marking.
  • We configure supported applications according to approved functional requirements, whether as part of project implementation or production support.
  • We maintain the PRD and DR environments, ensuring they remain in a working state and fit for use.
