Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
• Experience managing enterprise-grade firewalls and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualisation and server deployments.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA are desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, user accounts, permissions, and integrations.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs, and IP routing while troubleshooting network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL Server, and Group Policies.
• Manage and support MS Hyper-V environments, including P2V and V2P migrations.
• Deploy and maintain MDM solutions and enforce security policies.
• Implement security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and apply patches to maintain compliance.
• Configure and monitor SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DNS settings to optimise email performance.
• Provide 1st-3rd line support, troubleshoot issues, maintain IT assets, and improve IT workflows.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and an up-to-date asset register.
