ICT Security Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £37,896 - 41,541 per year
Requirements:- Hold a Level 5 qualification in Cyber Security or have equivalent professional experience
- Have experience managing and supporting security technologies, with a sound understanding of network and operating system security
- Be curious, methodical and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical risks clearly to non-technical audiences
- Monitor security systems, identify and investigate cyber threats, respond to incidents, maintain clear documentation and keep incident response procedures up to date
- Design, implement, maintain and monitor security measures across systems and networks, including firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, authentication, log management and content filtering
- Deliver cyber security awareness and training to employees and Councillors, and support regular security testing and reviews
- Contribute to Microsoft 365 administration, infrastructure and application updates, network monitoring and service requests while providing excellent customer service

This is a varied, hands-on ICT Security Analyst role at the heart of our cyber security response, with responsibilities spanning security monitoring, risk review, incident response and liaison with local and national partners, as well as wider ICT service support within ITIL and change management frameworks. The role is based in Braintree, Essex (CM7 9HB), is full-time and pays £37,896 to £41,541 per annum. Flexible and hybrid working is available, with a minimum of two to three office days per week.
