First Line Technical Support Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 per year
Requirements:- Were looking for someone with 1–2 years of professional experience in a similar role, or a recent college/university graduate seeking a first step into an IT career.
- You have experience with or an understanding of MS Office, Active Directory, TeamViewer or similar tools, Exchange/Office 365, and antivirus software.
- Experience using a ticketing system or working to SLAs is advantageous.
- You have excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills, in person and by telephone.
- Youre personable and able to build rapport with IT technicians and integrate into our technical team and client IT departments.
- Youre punctual, thorough, and attentive to detail.
- IT qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- You have a valid UK driving licence and are available to travel to London and other client locations.
- Youll provide first-line technical support as part of our 24x7 Support Team.
- Youll troubleshoot and resolve a range of hardware and software issues.
- Youll work independently to address technical challenges and meet customer expectations and satisfaction.

Were hiring a First Line Technical Support Engineer for our technically strong, friendly 24x7 Support Team at our head office in Chertsey, Surrey, with possible secondments to client sites. This is a permanent, full-time role paying £25,000–£30,000 basic, depending on experience, plus a £4,000 shift allowance. The schedule alternates between blocks of four day or night shifts and four days off; shifts run 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am, including a two-hour break. We provide training through teamwork and Microsoft qualifications.
