Environments & Release Lead

Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in change management, release management, environment management, or service transition
• Experience coordinating releases across cloud and on-premise environments
• Strong understanding of change, release, and service management principles
• Experience working with stakeholders, service teams, technical teams, and third-party suppliers
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to identify and manage risk, dependencies, and operational readiness concerns
• Experience supporting CAB, go-live, and deployment planning activities
• Service-focused approach with strong ownership and initiative

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and control IT environments and release activity across cloud and on-premise services
• Ensure systems are ready, stable, secure, and available to support testing, deployment, and business change
• Lead release planning, environment readiness, governance, and go-live coordination to introduce change in a controlled, repeatable, and low-risk way
• Combine operational leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on oversight of release and environment processes
• Work with Product Owners, Service Managers, Project Managers, technical teams, and suppliers to agree release scope, entry criteria, and deployment approach
• Review and validate implementation plans, build completeness, test strategies, test evidence, and readiness criteria before release approval
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks relating to environments, deployment, release scheduling, service continuity, and operational readiness
