Enterprise Applications & IT Operations Specialist

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive experience managing manufacturing-related IT applications and OT systems such as SCADA and PLCs.
• Strong knowledge of PLM, MES, CAD, simulation tools, and IT infrastructure, including networks and servers.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams, with strong communication and alignment skills.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management within IT operations.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and deliver creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support critical IT applications within a high-volume manufacturing environment to ensure optimal system uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders to translate operational needs into robust IT requirements.
• Oversee the deployment, integration, upgrades, and lifecycle management of manufacturing applications, ensuring scalability and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Establish strategies and policies for operational support, troubleshooting, and application upgrades across systems such as ERP, MES, PLM, and more.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, R&D, and supply chain, to support programme delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
• Lead resolution of application incidents, implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
