DLP Security Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Security Operations, Data Protection, or SOC environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP.
• Experience managing security incidents and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
• Understanding of Data Classification, Information Protection, and Compliance concepts.
• Basic knowledge of PKI, digital certificates, encryption, and key management.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exposure to Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Insider Risk Management, or Defender for Cloud Apps is preferred.
• Knowledge of GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks is preferred.
• Microsoft SC-400 or related security certifications are desirable.
• Mandatory skill: Forcepoint DLP.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Microsoft Purview DLP incidents and alerts.
• Manage security tickets, service requests, and escalations within agreed SLAs.
• Perform incident triage, investigation, root cause analysis, and documentation.
• Support data classification, sensitivity labelling, and information protection initiatives.
• Fine-tune DLP policies and assist in reducing false positives.
• Coordinate with end users, security teams, and business stakeholders for incident resolution.
• Support certificate management and basic PKI-related activities.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, knowledge articles, and SOP documentation.
