Data Consultant Director

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of involvement in heavy engineering and manufacturing in its broadest sense.
• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• We are looking for someone currently working in a major management consulting firm, or in industry with a management consulting background and proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation.
• We require 10+ years of experience in data consulting, or a related role.
• We need deep understanding of trends in data governance, data platforms, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and analytics.
• We require experience leading and delivering Data & AI projects.
• We need excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders and overcome resistance to change.
• We are looking for someone skilled in identifying Data & AI opportunities, shaping value propositions, and driving growth.
• We require a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• We need someone who keeps pace with the rapidly evolving data and AI technology landscape.
• We value experience in data, consulting, analytics, or a related function involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

• We combine strategic advisory and thought leadership to build trusted relationships with C-suite and wider client stakeholders.
• We translate complex data opportunities into clear business outcomes, use cases, and investment strategies.
• We guide clients through their digital transformation journey.
• We shape and execute data-driven strategies, leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and modern data platforms to unlock measurable business value.
• We lead high-performing teams from multiple locations to design and implement innovative solutions.
• We support pre-sales activities.
• We create and qualify new opportunities, from initial discovery through to contract signature.
• We anticipate sector trends and regulatory change, then translate them into differentiated propositions.
• We contribute to account strategies and collaborate with sales leaders to expand our footprint, leveraging trusted relationships and consulting-led sales.
• We define and develop Data propositions, frameworks, and methodologies to grow our practice and ensure scalable, repeatable delivery.
• We build, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams of consultants, engineers, and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• We support career development and skills growth within the practice.
