Job Description

Salary: £56,000 - 96,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone aware of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • We require previous experience of being involved in or leading elements of a project, including basic project management tools and techniques.
  • We are looking for strong presentation skills and the ability to deliver training.
  • Some knowledge of IT systems such as M-Type, SCE, TMS and InfoView is ideal.
  • We need someone with data analysis and solution design skills.
  • You should be proficient in MS tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and BI.
  • We are looking for experience of working closely with operations and developing effective working relationships.
  • We need experience of implementing change in a challenging environment.
  • Experience of working in a project environment and improvement activity is required.
Responsibilities:
  • We will need you to oversee the delivery of the site CI plan and act as a PMO for the site while supporting the Operational Excellence Strategy.
  • You will help facilitate change activity on site to deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People benefits, encouraging colleague participation.
  • You will monitor and support delivery of the site CI plan, working with site teams, the Regional CI Manager and broader Projects team, ensuring all site CI activity goes through the appropriate gateways and sign-off.
  • You will report progress, risks, issues and benefits relating to all site-based CI and project activity.
  • You will work with site colleagues to identify opportunities to improve health and safety, quality, cost, service and engagement for inclusion in the site CI plan.
  • You will track and report on benefits identified and realised locally at site and support more effective site resource planning.
  • You will lead the delivery of small projects to unlock benefit.
  • You will support the upskilling and coaching of colleagues on site in basic CI, problem solving and work stream management.
  • You will support major system change on site where required, including requirements gathering, process mapping and problem solving.
  • You will support the gathering of data for diagnostics, solution design and benefits tracking.
  • You will support delivery and governance of new operational processes to ensure changes are sustained, including visual management, auditing, feedback sessions and SOP updates.
  • You will work with the site Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator and Senior teams to keep colleagues informed about change and CI activity via the agreed site communication strategy and plan.
  • You will support senior stakeholder engagement.
  • You will support the delivery of the business-wide Change and CI strategy through diagnostic activity, sharing good practice and role modelling the right behaviours.
