Cloud Platform Engineering Manager

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Platform Engineering Manager with a platform-first mindset who can provide strategic leadership to an existing team.
• We need recent or current hands-on experience running platforms in public cloud.
• We need experience working closely with engineering teams in an environment that encourages transparency.
• We need experience building modern SaaS platforms.
• We need strategic oversight and roadmap delivery experience.
• We need experience investigating platform health and pushing boundaries.
• We need someone who makes informed decisions and investigates before jumping to conclusions.
• We need someone who follows best-practice ITIL standards and can evidence this.
• We need a prioritisation-through-blast-radius mindset, ranging tasks and alerts based on maximum damage if a failure or breach occurs.
• We need experience line managing a cross-functional team covering infrastructure and software disciplines.
• We need an understanding and appreciation of cloud platform principles.
• We need experience enabling teams to go faster safely.
• Azure is preferred, although other cloud environments will be considered.
• We need architectural understanding.
• We need experience setting long-term strategy.
• We need experience developing new services and capabilities.

We are hiring for a Cloud Platform Engineering Manager in the West Midlands on a hybrid basis, with two days per week in the office.
