Chef & Recipe Developer

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Were looking for someone with an unrivalled passion for and broad knowledge of food and cooking, including a strong interest in a range of world cuisines.
• We need confidence in cooking and plating across a wide range of techniques, with the ability to present food beautifully for film and photography.
• Were looking for demonstrable experience creating and cooking recipes, whether for social media, as a professional chef, or on another recipe platform.
• We value experience creating food content for social media, particularly Instagram.
• Were looking for an outgoing, friendly person with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Create and write recipes for the Great British Chefs website and social media channels, working under our Head of Content.
• Cook and style recipes for photo and video shoots.
• Liaise with our Recipe Editor to ensure recipes meet Great British Chefs house style and standards.
• Work with commercial partner requests to ensure recipe ideas meet their briefs.
• Manage the Junior Recipe Developer/Kitchen Assistant.
• Assist our wider editorial team as needed.

Our site features more than 300 chefs and over 10,000 recipes, guides, features and videos. Were seeking a full-time, permanent Chef & Recipe Developer to lead our GBC Kitchen and join our content team, working with our Head of Content, Videographers, Recipe Editor and commercial partners. The role is based in Kennington, London, with hybrid working.
