Responsibilities:

• We work with services to understand business change needs and assess the impact on IT and digital infrastructure and systems.
• We capture, analyse and document requirements for complex and strategic business solutions.
• We support the communication and delivery of requirements across the Authority.
• We carry out stakeholder engagement, business analysis, project management, procurement, solutions implementation, systems integration and major upgrades as needed.
• We assess or conduct analysis, present results and make recommendations for more complex situations.
• We analyse and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes or policy.
• We maintain, develop and review systems, processes, procedures and working methods to improve service delivery, quality, efficiency and compliance.
• We provide specialist advice and recommendations to support informed decision making.
• We plan workloads and secure resources to help the team deliver a quality service.
• We lead projects and reviews within a defined area of work as directed by our manager.
• We may assist with budget, resource and funding management, and may have delegated budget responsibility.
• We liaise with internal departments, customers, partner organisations, agencies and contractors to support and represent our team.
• We may manage a team or oversee the delivery of support services.
• We monitor and support the performance and development of team members.
• We may operate as an individual responsible for delivery of a high level and complex service.

This role sits in our Engagement & Digital Innovation team within the Orbis IT & Digital Service. We provide mission-critical operational support, innovative project delivery and strategic leadership that underpin the business priorities and service outcomes of our partner authorities and customers. The role may involve managing several concurrent smaller solutions or being assigned full-time to a major corporate business solution, and our delivery work can include stakeholder engagement, business analysis, project management, procurement, solutions implementation, systems integration and major upgrades.
