Atlassian Engineer

Salary: £43,500 - 74,500 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Atlassian Engineer, Administrator, or Consultant in large enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Background configuring complex workflows, schemes, permissions, and automation rules.
• Knowledge of Atlassian Cloud and/or Data Centre environments.
• Experience integrating Atlassian platforms with external systems via APIs and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Confident communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing and implementing governance and platform best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support a major transformation initiative by providing stable, well-governed tooling for project delivery, service management, and collaboration.
• Help teams embed consistent Agile and DevOps ways of working through effective use of the Atlassian suite.

We are recruiting an experienced Atlassian Engineer for a busy public sector programme in Scotland on a 12-month contract. The role is based in Glasgow with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days onsite. We support a major transformation initiative and are looking for British Nationals who hold active SC clearance or are eligible for SC clearance. This role offers the opportunity to work with Jira, Confluence, and the wider Atlassian suite to help deliver stable, well-governed tooling and improved ways of working.
