Application Support Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework.
• Strong experience developing with jQuery and SQL Server.
• Good experience with .NET 10.
• Strong knowledge of C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Expert use of ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
• Experience troubleshooting web applications in production.
• Understanding of MVC architecture, session management, authentication, and authorization.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with debugging tools, application logs, and performance analysis.
• Good incident-management and communication skills.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in ASP.NET MVC Framework application development or application support.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
• Experience working in ITIL-based support environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
• Analyse and resolve production incidents, service requests, and application defects.
• Troubleshoot issues across the presentation, business, data-access layers, and database.
• Support applications developed using ASP.NET MVC Framework, .NET 10, jQuery, and SQL Server.
• Investigate application logs, stack traces, database issues, and integration failures.
• Perform root-cause analysis and prepare permanent fixes or workarounds.
• Develop minor enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes.
• Support REST-based integrations and troubleshoot API-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, database, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change-management related meetings and processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
• Participate in on-call or shift-based support, if required.
