Salary: £41,000 - 41,000 per year

Requirements:
  • You have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • You have 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
  • You have 8+ years of experience in SaaS/software contract negotiations, technology procurement, category management, vendor management, or software asset management within a buying organization, outsourcer, consulting firm, or reseller.
  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience negotiating SAP renewals, including deals within the last 12 months, ideally with exposure to RISE, S/4HANA, and line-of-business solutions such as SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Concur.
  • You bring subject matter expertise in SAP licensing, particularly its commercial aspects and software and cloud services market trends.
  • Experience with software license compliance risk assessment, management, or mitigation in a software audit context—particularly with SAP—is desired.
  • Experience negotiating with and managing other major vendors, such as AWS, Google, Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, or ServiceNow, is desired.
  • You have executive presence and can establish credibility with executives and other stakeholders.
  • You have strong organizational skills and can work under tight deadlines while producing high-quality deliverables.
  • You demonstrate excellence in research and writing, along with strong analytical, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • You can engage clients, respond effectively to questions, synthesize data, apply patterns and frameworks, and draw and defend conclusions on client challenges.
  • You can explain complex concepts clearly and concisely and are comfortable presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements.
  • You have strong business and financial acumen and deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape in your subject area.
  • You can work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural, global environment, including within highly matrixed organizations.
  • You are learning agile and can represent our research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels.
  • You are willing and able to travel up to 25%, where applicable.
Responsibilities:
  • You will create innovative, thought-provoking, must-have insights and develop actionable approaches that help clients address their needs and act on priorities.
  • You will conduct in-depth analysis to identify the root causes of client barriers and reframe challenges to advance strategy.
  • You will establish insights positions across a team of analysts and bring independent perspectives to Gartner leaders that can shape the research agenda.
  • You will research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts to provide actionable insights to clients and vendors.
  • You will create and deliver high-value presentations for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and in-person or remote client briefings.
  • You will support Business and Technology Insights (BTI) and Sales by serving as a voice of the market, helping teams create content and engage clients on critical priorities.
  • You will provide timely, high-quality peer reviews and build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartners insights, methodology, and strategy.
  • You will collaborate with global colleagues in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, and identify process improvements that strengthen service delivery.
  • You will mentor and coach more junior team members.
  • You will take a client-centric approach and help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights and interactions.
