Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Test automation experience, including building regression suites that remain reliable and maintainable as they grow.
  • Proficiency in C++ and scripting languages suited to the task, such as Python.
  • Experience working with CI pipelines; Jenkins experience is preferred, and experience configuring build and test agents is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small squad, follow shared standards, participate in code reviews, and deliver to plan.
  • Strong debugging, testing, and technical communication skills.
  • Fluency in spoken English and strong writing skills.
  • Interest in music technology, creator tools, hardware/software integration, or audio workflows.
  • A considered, practical approach to AI-assisted test generation and the review discipline needed to use it effectively.
  • Must qualify for employment in the UK.
Responsibilities:
  • Help build our automation framework, Jenkins infrastructure, and regression suites for our music production products.
  • Implement and maintain the automation framework and toolchain in line with our squads coding standards.
  • Build and maintain CI integration, including multi-platform agents and test reporting.
  • Develop automated tests for the initial regression suite on a pilot project, applying the patterns established by the squad.
  • Contribute to a live coverage and results dashboard that provides visibility into automation progress and quality across products.
  • Help develop AI-assisted test generation in line with our tooling, prompting, and review standards, ensuring generated scripts meet quality thresholds.
  • Work closely with the Lead Test Automation Developer, product squads, and QA to support product teams in adopting the framework and its patterns.

Were hiring a Test Automation Developer for a new squad delivering our test automation initiative for music production products. This is a hands-on development role in a squad being built from the ground up, where youll help establish the framework and its technical direction across our Music Production development team. JUCE experience is an advantage. The role is full-time in our Software Development department and can be based permanently at our Cambridge, UK office or worked on a hybrid home/office basis.
