Application Developer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong front-end development skills with React or a similar modern JavaScript framework
• Experience building and deploying on modern web platforms such as Vercel or equivalent
• Expert-level Power BI skills, including DAX, embedding, theming, and UX
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to build data layers
• Experience integrating AI or LLM outputs or agents into applications; MCP familiarity is a strong advantage
• Ability to turn complex datasets into clear, story-driven interfaces
• Strong visual design sense and focus on usability
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and running live demos and training
• Experience delivering licensed or productised client-facing tools, rather than only internal dashboards, preferred
• Experience building and running a portal or platform in production preferred
• Understanding of AI agents, tool use, and governed integration patterns preferred
• Familiarity with customer segmentation, marketing, or commercial performance data preferred
• Strong communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences, preferred

Responsibilities:

• Build and run the Customer Portal as the single access point to our products
• Develop front-end applications and tools end to end, from wireframing and building through testing, deployment, operation, and iteration
• Integrate AI outputs and agents into the portal using MCP in a governed way
• Build embedded Power BI and analytics visualisations using DAX and SQL, with a strong focus on user experience
• Deploy and manage the portal on a modern web stack, such as Vercel, and keep it reliable in production
• Turn complex analytics into clear, intuitive interfaces that support better decisions
• Run client demos, walkthroughs, and training to drive adoption
• Partner with data science, data engineering, and architecture teams
• Track usage and iterate on the design based on real client feedback

We are hiring an Application Developer for our Customer Portal, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. The portal is a client-facing access point to our products and tools, combining application development with embedded, story-led visualisation of AI outputs. You will own this licensed, client-facing asset in production.
