Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Requirements:

• Proven experience administering Microsoft Azure and Azure Arc-enabled servers
• Experience with Azure Monitor Agent (AMA), Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics Workspaces
• Experience deploying XDR/EDR agents across Windows and Linux environments
• Windows Server administration experience, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Linux server administration experience
• PowerShell and Bash scripting skills
• Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and proxies
• Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, and Private Endpoints
• Hold or be eligible to obtain DV clearance
• Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Cortex XDR is beneficial
• Familiarity with Intune, SCCM, Ansible, Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates, Microsoft Entra ID, and Defender for Cloud is beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Support enterprise infrastructure platforms across on-premises and Azure environments
• Onboard Windows and Linux servers to Azure Arc
• Deploy Azure Monitor Agent (AMA)
• Roll out and maintain XDR/EDR security agents at scale
• Keep the wider Windows and Linux estate secure, patched, and reliable
• Work closely with Cyber Security and Operations teams

Were recruiting a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a public sector organisation. This is an initial 6-month contract paying up to £630 per day (Inside IR35), based in Milton Keynes or London. The hybrid role involves attending one of those offices around three days a week.
