Application Development & Support Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - 43,000 per year

Requirements:

• Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Taunton, or be able to commute reliably.
• Development experience using Visual Basic (VB) or similar.
• Experience with workflow scripting and automation within a case management or business system.
• Experience creating and maintaining screens, documents, and forms.
• Understanding of database management principles.
• Ability to create and maintain workflow and technical documentation.
• Comfortable combining system development with general IT support.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues.
• Knowledge of HTML, particularly for forms and Form EVO, is desirable.
• SQL experience or familiarity is desirable.
• Experience with Visualfiles or another legal or case management system is desirable.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Visualfiles workflows, forms, templates, and automation.
• Support and improve our legal systems and business applications.
• Produce reports using SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to colleagues.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing, and implementations.
• Support third-party system integrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Deliver user training where required.

We are seeking an Application Development & Support Analyst to join our collaborative and supportive IT team. This is primarily an office-based role in Taunton, Somerset, with hybrid working available after successful completion of probation. Experience with Visualfiles is highly desirable, and we welcome candidates with experience supporting or developing similar workflow or case management systems who are keen to learn.
