AI Product Owner

Salary: £85,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree in computer science, AI, machine learning, or a related STEM field
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager on AI or ML products, with confident stakeholder management and communication at all levels
• Track record of taking business-critical ML models or GenAI features into production
• Hands-on understanding of RAG applications, semantic search, and text embeddings
• Cloud experience, ideally with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong ML and data science fundamentals, including NLP
• Ability to manage AI, RAG, and GenAI risk, and knowledge of fine-tuning models on proprietary datasets
• Technical credibility with Python and SQL, and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow

Responsibilities:

• Own the AI product vision and roadmap, leading the design and launch of AI features across our web and app-based product portfolio
• Partner with product managers, content managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to define, prioritise, build, and optimise AI, ML, LLM, and GenAI solutions
• Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements, user stories, and a prioritised backlog
• Use AI to broaden reach, engagement, and utilisation across our services
• Identify opportunities to drive efficiency through AI across our wider business and build the business case for each
• Track the competitive landscape and keep our product ahead of advances in GenAI
• Define success metrics for every AI feature and govern performance after launch
• Analyse usage data and user feedback to drive continuous optimisation, reporting findings to stakeholders
• Champion AI across our business, educating and supporting engineering teams and colleagues
