SC Cleared DevOps Engineer

Salary: £148,200 - 148,200 per year

Requirements:

• Strong AWS cloud engineering and platform experience
• Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience
• Experience with containerisation technologies, ideally Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and operational support
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and governance controls
• Experience delivering and supporting production cloud environments in secure or regulated settings
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
• Active SC clearance, used within the last 12 months, with at least 3 years remaining before expiry
• Ability to attend a London office 2 days per week

Responsibilities:

• Build and operate AWS cloud infrastructure and shared platform services
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Create and support CI/CD pipelines for secure, repeatable deployments
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities
• Ensure platform resilience, availability, and operational readiness
• Manage configuration, secrets, and environment controls
• Embed security best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
• Work with engineering and assurance teams to ensure environments meet security and operational requirements
• Drive automation and platform engineering best practices

Were supporting a major programme seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform and DevOps Engineer to build and operate the automated cloud delivery foundations for a critical private beta environment. This hands-on role focuses on secure, resilient, highly automated AWS environments and involves close collaboration with Engineering, Architecture, Quality, and Assurance teams. The opportunity is a six-month engagement at £570 per day inside IR35, with two days per week in a London office. Youll help shape the AWS platform, delivery pipelines, and operational capabilities from an early stage, establishing secure cloud foundations for delivery at scale.
