Job Description

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience in sales or sales management of infrastructure or cloud technology
  • Experience managing large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
  • Experience negotiating large, complex deals with a successful track record
  • Experience with virtualization environments based on Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, and VMware products
  • Experience with large-scale migration or data centre exit projects and key migration phases
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree or above
  • Quota-carrying sales experience, customer empathy, and technical credibility
  • Ability to engage with C-suite executives, develop and execute account and territory plans, work independently, and own outcomes end to end
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS and on-premises infrastructure, including Nutanix, VMware, and Hyper-V; colocation and hosting environments; and cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
  • Working understanding of Microsoft licensing and enterprise agreements
Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer business objectives, industry dynamics, and competitive pressures to identify high-impact migration and modernisation opportunities.
  • Generate and manage pipeline for AWS migration and modernisation opportunities in defined UK and Ireland verticals.
  • Identify, qualify, and close deals with priority customers, positioning migration as an entry point to broader platform value.
  • Own territory strategy and revenue targets across the transformation lifecycle; develop campaigns, routes to market, and opportunities in new customer segments.
  • Build thought leadership through content, keynotes, executive roundtables, and other activities that communicate the transformation journey from migration through modernisation, data activation, and AI deployment.
  • Develop executive-level narratives and commercial propositions that connect customer challenges and success metrics to migration, modernisation, data, AI, and automation outcomes.
  • Position AWS AI and generative AI services and partner technologies as opportunities enabled by cloud migration.
  • Drive upsell and expansion by delivering on commitments and demonstrating measurable customer value.
  • Work with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Partner teams, Professional Services, and Product to assess software estates, build business cases, plan implementation, and close agreements.
  • Develop co-sell motions with global systems integrators and strategic technology partners, and use the AWS partner ecosystem to support customer programmes.
  • Respond to RFI and RFP requests with differentiated proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts, and deliver predictable revenue against quota.
  • Share customer insights with product, engineering, and partner teams to improve the AWS migration and modernisation experience.
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland as needed.
