IT Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least one year of hands-on IT support experience within a professional services setting
• Confidence working in a structured, SLA-driven environment and balancing competing priorities
• Strong customer service skills across phone, face-to-face and digital channels
• Disciplined and organised approach to managing workloads
• Proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical ability, with high attention to detail
• Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate effectively
• Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements
• Awareness of Microsoft 365 and current industry technologies
• Experience supporting Windows Desktop and Server, Citrix, desktop PCs and laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals, Microsoft 365 and Office applications, Active Directory, and local area networking is relevant to the technical environment
• Formal IT certifications such as MCSA or multiple MCPs are highly advantageous; candidates working towards CompTIA A+, MSDST, ITIL Foundation or similar are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

• Deliver responsive, high-quality technical support across a broad technology landscape
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and application-related issues
• Manage incidents and service requests through to completion within agreed timeframes
• Take ownership of assigned tickets, resolving them or escalating appropriately
• Undertake user and server administration tasks
• Support and guide colleagues within the IT team where appropriate
• Assist with ongoing IT improvement projects and other project work as required
• Support and maintain the firms technology environment, including its core legal systems as expertise develops

We are partnering with a well-established, highly regarded law firm to recruit an IT Analyst for its Service Team. The role is based in Manchester, with occasional travel to Liverpool and London, and offers office-based work with the option to work from home one day a week. The salary is up to £40,000 plus benefits. This is a 35-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts between 08:00 and 18:00 and participation in a paid out-of-hours support rota. The role offers exposure to project work and ongoing professional development.
