Field Service Engineer - Glasgow

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Eligibility for SC Clearance
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Keen attention to detail
• Organised and able to prioritise workloads and workflows
• Approachable with outstanding customer service skills
• Self-starter who can help formulate tactical plans to achieve department strategy

Responsibilities:

• Support the achievement of our IT Team objectives in line with customer processes and procedures
• Positively promote our IT Team and wider IT function
• Participate in internal meetings to share and develop knowledge and best practice
• Provide end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests to ensure issues are resolved effectively
• Provide regular status updates on open tickets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business users to ensure service delivery meets expectations
• Maintain and improve high standards of service through continuous improvement
• Investigate and resolve common desktop issues to support business continuity
• Thoroughly investigate issues to assess required next actions and whether escalation to the 3rd Line Team is needed
• Support others in the team in achieving their objectives
• Handle hardware and software issues, maintenance calls and implementation requests within agreed service levels
• Cover for Site Engineers when needed
• Run scheduled Tech Bars and provide day-to-day IT support to customers
