Automation Test Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong experience in UI test automation with Playwright
• Hands-on capability with API testing and test data/validation using JSON
• Confidence coding in TypeScript/JavaScript
• Practical working knowledge of SQL and using Git in a collaborative workflow
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
• A mindset focused on reliability, coverage, and continuous improvement
• Active SC clearance required

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain UI test automation using Playwright, primarily TypeScript/JavaScript
• Create robust end-to-end test scenarios that reflect real business workflows
• Automate and validate API testing, including request/response testing
• Support enterprise application testing and confirm expected outcomes across features
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve test speed and consistency
• Work with JSON, Git, and SQL to support testing and verification needs
• Gain exposure to IBM Maximo environments and validate Maximo business processes

We are offering a 6-12 month contract role based in London/Remote at £560 per day, inside IR35 and umbrella only. We are looking for someone to help drive stronger release confidence with automation that is built to scale. This role includes the opportunity to work with enterprise application testing, CI/CD-driven testing, and exposure to IBM Maximo environments.
